Filson Graphite Heat Exchanger

Your Reliable Graphite Heat Exchanger Choice

Filson graphite heat exchanger, according to its structure, can be divided into 3 types. They are block type, shell and tube type and plate type.

Filson graphite heat exchanger has high heat conductivity coefficient for excellent heat transfer performance. Graphite tubes have smooth inner and outer walls, so it is not easy to scale or crystallize and has less flow resistance.

However, graphite is prone to brittle fracture and has low bending and tensile strength. On this account, Filson graphite heat exchanger can only be used for low pressure operation, even for the best pressure-bearing block type, which generally has a working pressure of 0.3 to 0.5 MPa.

Filson graphite heat exchanger is a less common type of heat exchanger comparing to stainless steel heat exchanger and titanium heat exchanger. It is mainly used for heat exchange of corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid and phosphoric acid. It’s usually found as condenser for acetic acid and acetic anhydride or other medias.
