Filson scraped surface heat exchanger consists of one unit or more units, each unit body is a double pipe element. Both ends of the pipe are connected to the end cover by clamps or screws. There is a rotating scraper shaft equipped in the inner tube and the media passes through the annular channel between the scraper shaft and the heat transfer surface.

Filson scraping surface heat exchanger is mainly characterized by its stirring effect. The media is not easy to scale on the heat transfer wall, so it is suitable for the heat exchange between viscous materials, flowable thin fluids, slurry containing solid particles and other fluids which are not easy to scale.

Scraped surface heat exchanger has a similar outer appearance to that of shell and tube heat exchanger, but has totally different inner components. The shell consists of an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. The inner cylinder of a scraped surface heat exchagner is the heat transfer part and the treated media passes through it.
