Filson demister pad offers effective mist elimination compatible with normal packed vessel or column operation. Because of the large free volumes, its pressure drop is very low even at higher velocities.

Filson demister pad may be a mesh coalescer, vane pack or other structure designed to collect droplets sufficient to separate from the vapor stream. In addition, Filson demister pad is usually placed at the top of the vessel or column, to ensure mass transfer efficiency and reduce the plate spacing.

Filson demister pad is widely used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, light industry, metallurgy and other industrial production of vertical cylindrical equipment vapour-liquid separation device. It can also be used for desulphurisation and other production to remove oil mist and toxic gases.
